🎣 Angling | What a very interesting session that turned out to be
With maggots in the fridge that were turning quickly, I did my second angling session of the day. It’s a hard life sometimes, but someone has to live it, I guess.
Expecting small perch and roach, which I caught, I also had rudd on the bank. What made it really interesting though, as per the heading, were the other three species involved.
I saw a common carp cruising just below the surface on arrival – which I captured on video. I then spotted a small group of tench, where I had one briefly on the hook, before losing it.
The one surprise fish that I didn’t see in advance though was a bream. The float dipped, I struck, and brought it in to the waiting landing net. Definitely a very enjoyable hour or so and that’s a fact.
