Roach session on a pool
I’ll be moving on from roach fishing in due course but for now they’re still my target species.
With the conditions being tough at the best of times during lots of spells in the winter just gone, they’ve kept me on the right side of the line.
This session was on a pool and I fished a grain of corn over loose sweetcorn.
I caught a few fish in the couple of hours I was there.
Not a prolific session but I enjoyed it.
Tackle: Greys Prodigy TX 12’ rod. Shimano 3500M reel. Maxima Chameleon 4lb line. Drennan 0.6g waggler. Drennan Super Specialist size 12 hook.
Nature notes: Stock dove calling alongside the nesting site that I watched a pair around recently. No sign of the female. On the nest?
