Series one, which launched the classic television series from the late seventies and early eighties.

Minder: Gunfight At The OK Launderette (1979)
Season 1 episode 1.
After accompanying the owner of a laundrette, as he empties the machines of coins, Terry finds himself at the centre of a robbery that goes wrong.
A sign of what’s to come, while the hostages are being held, Arthur tries to sell the story to a newspaper.
Minder: Bury My Half At Waltham Green (1979)
Season 1 episode 2.
Albert Stubbs is released from prison and Arthur looks to exploit the fact that he’s got money hidden away.
After conflict with a rival interested party, Arthur eventually gets his hands on the cash, only to discover that the notes are now out of circulation.
The only way he can deal with the situation is to go to the Bank Of England and declare the money, which, with it being ‘hot’ he can’t do.
Minder: The Smaller They Are (1979)
Season 1 episode 3.
Scotch Harry steals a briefcase full of money at the airport, and once Arthur realises, he gets involved.
Looking to return the cash to the criminal gang, he wants a cut.
It all goes downhill very quickly, and in the end, it’s all counterfeit money anyway.
Three episodes in and the pattern is already there for Arthur’s get rich quick schemes that always backfire.
Minder: A Tethered Goat (1979)
Season 1 episode 4.
Arthur takes on the responsibility of looking after a wealthy Middle Eastern businessman and assigns Terry to the task.
He’s the target of a rival group who try to get to him.
By intentionally crashing the vehicle into a police bus full of officers, the kidnapping comes to an end.
Minder: The Bounty Hunter (1979)
Season 1 episode 5.
An old friend of Arthur’s has been ripped-off by a property developer regarding an apartment in Spain.
Terry is assigned to track down the con man, where he eventually gets the £6K back.
After all his trouble and effort, he is given just £200 by the woman as thank you.
Minder: Aces High – And Sometimes Very Low (1979)
Season 1 episode 6.
A poker player is barred from casinos due to his successful career.
After his final visit to one casino, he’s mugged of his £11K winnings.
Looking at entering a big game, involving some dodgy characters, he enlists Terry as his minder for the night.
Minder: The Bengal Tiger (1979)
Season 1 episode 7.
When Arthur visits the corner shop for his morning paper, he finds out that Mr Mukerjee is the victim of a gang, so he offers Terry as protection.
It turns out though that Mukerjee has promised his daughter to several grooms – and taken dowries from all of them.
In the end, she gets the man that she really loves. Kev, the English guy.
Minder: Come in T64, Your Time is Ticking Away (1979)
Season 1 episode 8.
Arthur has a share in a taxi company that is being targeted by thugs.
Drivers are being threatened and cars have been set on fire.
Terry is brought in as a cab driver to investigate and it turns out that Arthur’s co-owner is the culprit.
He’s trying to drive Arthur away so that he can sell the building to property developers and keep the profit for himself.
Minder: Monday Night Fever (1980)
Season 1 episode 9.
Arthur is smitten by a cabaret singer and he throws money at her, even though she’s a terrible singer.
She meets a man more her own age and that’s the end of that.
Minder: The Dessert Song (1980)
Season 1 episode 10.
After rescuing a man being beaten in the street, Arthur and Terry become involved in a situation at a Greek restaurant.
Involving Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots, it becomes potentially nasty but works out in the end.
Minder: You Gotta Have Friends (1980)
Season 1 episode 11.
An old friend of Arthur’s turns up after being beaten and begs for help.
Terry drives him to a secret location but he’s then found drowned.
He’d been trying to rip off a fellow crook and the blame for protecting him falls on Arthur, whose life is under threat.
Terry comes to the rescue though.
