First angling session of the holiday

On the day of arrival, the tackle shop in Holyhead was closed earlier than normal, so I wasn’t able to stock up on bait for the week ahead.

As I wasn’t going fishing on arrival day anyway, it wasn’t a problem.

I was there next morning though, bought ragworm and was back on track.

Being as I was in the area, I fished rocks at Trearddur Bay.

With strong winds blowing in from the sea, I knew it was going to be a challenge and that proved to be the case, as presenting a bait wasn’t easy.

I was float fishing with worm on a size 2 Kamasan Aberdeen pattern hook.

Like all the others will be, it was a short session.

I’ll be aiming for between 1-2 hours each time I venture out.

On this occasion, I didn’t even get a bite. That’s fishing for you though, isn’t it?
