Very wet, windy and coloured but as long as your bait’s in the water you’ve always got a chance
I don’t know what’s happened to the global boiling but it’s certainly had a day off today.
The conditions were, as the headline states, very wet and very windy.
Not going to bed until after midnight due to a working game, it wasn’t the usual early angling start but rather late morning when I hit the bank.
Another small pond session, this one is fed by a brook that, affected by the rain itself, had deposited brown water in the venue.
It didn’t affect the fishing though, and in the hour I was there I had a constant stream of small roach.
The waggler was very busy, as the two-maggot approach on a size 14 hook saw numerous fish immediately take the bait, as soon as I cast in.
Whatever the conditions, as long as your bait’s in the water, you’ve always got a chance.
