August 6
Walking down the lane, a male sparrowhawk flew from the woods on the left across gardens.
August 7
Ten mallards on the main pool, juvenile birds as big as the adults now.
Great to see a successful breeding season.
One moorhen also showing on the pool.
August 10
Single swift over the golf course.
August 13
On a dusk/dark nature watch. Muntjac calling in woodland. Fox x2 in lane. Badger in Moden Hill.
August 15
Short walk through woodland this morning with my dog.
Saw nuthatch, stock dove and jay.
August 20
Female sparrowhawk in flight across Straits Estate.
August 21
Seven mallards on main pond.
Muntjac feeding in woodland right next to the lane.
