They weren’t bothered about the 6lb line and size 10 hook either.
The bait was a single grain of corn and I fished with a Fox Barbel Special rod and an Okuma Zeon reel.
Flicking a 1/4 ounce free-running lead a couple of rod lengths from the bank, I fished over sweetcorn and brown crumb.
It was a fine margin session in that I lost two target fish but also caught two others.
