Back on the bank
No fishing on the day I arrived home but the following morning I was back on the bank.
I continued where I left off prior to my travels, with tench the target species.
Although the perch is my favourite, I’m certainly enjoying the current run of sessions that I’m on.
I was fishing with a quiver tip rod and presented three white maggots on a size 12 hook.
The 6lb line went straight through, with the 1/4 ounce lead six inches from the hook and a small shot and bead on the line.
Fishing a couple of hours or so, I lost a brace of tench but did manage to get one on the bank.
It was nice to be back.
