The difference between passion and obsession
Although I was home around noon, I didn’t go fishing.
I caught up with some sleep and enjoyed the rest of the day with my wife.
I love my angling, which is obvious if you follow my blog posts.
However, it’s pure passion but not obsession.
The difference is that you do the former out of genuine, balanced desire but the latter is driven by an all-consuming emotion that controls you.
Passion is where you’re in charge but, when it’s obsession, that’s who sits firmly in life’s driving seat.
