The one that got away
I started the day on a small pool where I’ve caught a number of bream so far this year.
Legering a grain of corn on a size 10 hook, I have noticed in recent sessions how the clear patches have now become increasingly weedy.
I had lots of roach bites and fish on the bank and they certainly aren’t deterred by the 6lb line.
Although there are bream in there, they’re not numerous and if you catch one it’s a result.
Therefore, when I struck and brought one to the surface, I was thrilled.
