Back in the pulpit quicker than expected
With just three Sundays having passed since our old church closed (and for one of those I was at the Welsh Cup final), I didn’t expect to be back in the pulpit so quickly.
We’ve only tried a couple of churches so far on our hunt for a spiritual home but the second one asked if I would return to preach.
It’s been a long time since I took on an external speaking engagement, as for some years I felt it was right to focus on our previous church.
Today’s sermon was based on Philippians 3:20 and emphasising the point that our eternal citizenship is a heavenly one.
“But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Saviour from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,”
Philippians 3:20 NIV
I feel English, I feel Welsh and I feel British but, more importantly, above and beyond earthly identities I belong to a kingdom that will never fade or pass away.
