Disappearance is the 36th in the Turn Of Fate television short movies and is from 1958 (bottom left image).
Jack Lemmon is Henry Coyle and he sets up his wife’s disappearance in order that he and his lover can kill her.
However, the police get involved and Coyle says it was just a publicity stunt.
His wife actually does disappear though once she overhears the plans to kill her and it ends with the police believing that Coyle and his lover have really murdered her.
