It’s ancient deciduous woodland and I was watching one in particular as it was eyeing up potential nesting sites.
There was also a magpie nest-building. It might still be on the nippy side as far as air temperature is concerned but nature is moving on.
I saw a kingfisher as well; they’re one of our most colourful birds, possibly the one.
Certainly as far as regular sightings are concerned, and having water as the common denominator, we get to see our fair share as anglers, don’t we.
