The Adventures Of Robin Hood is a colour movie from 1938 and stars Errol Flynn (Robin Hood), Olivia de Havilland (Maid Marian), Basil Rathbone (Guy of Gisbourne) and Claud Rains (Prince John).
King Richard (played by Ian Hunter) goes off to fight in the crusades and is captured in Vienna, while his brother, Prince John, takes advantage of his absence by attempting to snatch the crown.
He treats the people in a cruel way and Robin Hood leads a rebellion, while based in Sherwood Forest.
Richard returns and is restored to the throne and it ends with Robin and Marian getting together.
