They’re all in great condition as well, especially the mouths which are always indicators of fishing pressure and perhaps, more to the point, the type of anglers who frequent the venue.
Fishing a couple of maggots in six feet of water, I banked quite a few roach in the short time that I was there.
I lost count, so that’s always a good sign and the roach were all about the same size as well, so nothing really small.
That doesn’t bother me though, it’s all about enjoyment and as far as I’m concerned, I always get something positive from my piscatorial trips.
