People assume that guilt and shame caused him to commit suicide but it wasn’t like that.

Then something Mickey says is picked up on by his father (played by Gordon Jackson).
He confronts his son, who admits he’s been lying all along.
It ends with the two of them going to the bus company to begin the process of revealing the truth.
