A cold and frosty – but still very enjoyable – walk around Himley Hall

We live very close to Himley Hall, which is open to the public and therefore ideal to walk the dog and enjoy the setting ourselves as well.

The parkland was designed by Capability Brown, the famous eighteenth century landscape gardener, so even apart from the hall itself there’s plenty of history there.

It was cold and frosty this morning but I do enjoy the four seasons very much.

You get to see places in a different light every time you visit and although I do spend a fair amount of time at Himley Hall, I never tire.

I didn’t take my binoculars today but there was a female teal in with the mallards on the grass alongside the great pool.
