The weather creates some nice scenery but it’s not much good for the fishing

Although it wasn’t in the forecast, I woke this morning to light overnight snowfall in the valley.

Looking out through the upstairs back window at home, it looked very impressive as the trees were covered in a sprinkling of snow as if someone had dusted them with icing sugar.

As always, I topped the bird feeding station and enjoyed my feathered friends who visited in numbers, like they do every day.

Light snowfall overnight and the garden looks nice this morning.

I had my mid-morning Bayside Radio chat with Jeff Pearson, where we talked angling and Welsh football, and then I loaded the car to go fishing.

I was intending to go after pike on one of the smaller pools that I regularly target.
