It’s not about how much time you have to fish, but rather, making sure that you fish at the right time.
That’s why I do a lot of early morning and late evening sessions, as generally speaking they are the most productive.
My latest trip was to the Staffordshire/Worcestershire Canal, where I had an hour or so up to dark.
I started off with a 0.7g jig head and a two-inch fish but within five minutes I switched and scaled down.
It felt the right thing to do and it worked.
