I enjoyed starting a garden nature blog in 2021, which was our first full year in our new home.
At this stage twelve months ago, I had seen twenty-five species of birds and I’m happy to be three up on that this time round.
Common buzzard, feral pigeon and sparrowhawk are the latest ticks.
It’s been good watching a pair of robins who are in the early stages of nest-building.
As you can see from the lead image, we’ve had an easily identifiable male blackbird visiting us as well in the last few days.
In addition, I’ve added the first wildflowers. It’s potentially difficult what to include.
Are they really wild or have they been planted?
I wouldn’t go for geraniums but I’m happy to add primrose and snowdrop.
