🎣 On the radio, pike fishing and all’s well that ends well 

The video starts with footage from my weekly Bayside Radio chat with Jeff Pearson. 

It’s great to have a platform from which I can promote our wonderful hobby and, from what Jeff tells me, it’s a popular slot as well. 

That’s great to hear because, from my perspective, it’s not just for anglers but also an opportunity to reach beyond that circle. 

The following morning, I went pike fishing. After a potential disaster, it turned out well and I got a fish on the bank.

Tackle: Wychwood Extremis 3lb pike rod/Wychwood Extremis 50 reel and Shakespeare 3lb rod/Regal X 4050BRT reel. 16lb Sufix Synergy line. Greys Prowla 30g and Drennan Zeppler 35g floats. 

Nature notes: Male pheasant on the track as I approached the pool. Song thrush singing in a regular far bank tree spot. Ring-necked parakeet. Kingfisher perched on overhanging branches above the pool. Three mistle thrushes passed overhead. Pair of grey wagtails in flight across the water.
