June 3: Starling (c.8 briefly in the garden.) Great spotted woodpecker (Male and juvenile in the garden and on the feeding station.) Raven (Two birds in silent flight over our home.) Coal tit (On the feeding station.) Stock dove (On the lawn feeding.) Ring-necked parakeets (Heard birds on trees from school grounds. Four calling ones flew out.) June 4: Starling (Two adults feeding on the lawn.) Wood pigeon (Six birds beneath the feeding station.) Nuthatch (On the feeding station.)
June 5: Greenfinch (Male calling and a female on the sunflower hearts feeder.) Raven (Heard a bird calling from the garden, looked up to see four low in flight, being mobbed by one carrion crow.) Coal tit (On the feeding station.) Stock dove (On the lawn and chased off by a wood pigeon.)
June 6: Stock dove (On the lawn.) Goldfinch (Four adult birds on the feeding station, have been regular over the last few days. Later, a juvenile and an adult.) Blackbird (Male on the lawn, another watching from the washing line until it went.) Ten juvenile species so far this year: blue tit, chaffinch, goldfinch, great spotted woodpecker, great tit, greenfinch, house sparrow, magpie, starling, wood pigeon.
June 7: Great spotted woodpecker (Juvenile briefly in neighbouring tree.) Dunnock (Adult and juvenile on the lawn, the first of the year.) Stock dove (Single bird on the lawn.) Greenfinch (Male on the sunflower hearts feeder. A regular visitor for a few days. Hopefully, the female is sitting eggs.) Wood pigeon (Six birds feeding on the lawn beneath the station.) Eleven juvenile species so far this year: blue tit, chaffinch, dunnock, goldfinch, great spotted woodpecker, great tit, greenfinch, house sparrow, magpie, starling, wood pigeon.
June 8: Swift (Thirteen birds feeding over the valley, seen from the garden.) Herring gull (Bird in flight over the garden.) Great spotted woodpecker (Female in the garden.)
June 9: Great spotted woodpecker (Male and juvenile on neighbour’s garden.) Stock dove (Single bird on the lawn.) Common buzzard (Mobbed by two lesser black-backed gull over the valley.)
June 10: Blackbird (Three juveniles, first of the year, with the male on the lawn.) Jay (Bird in flight across Wordsworth, seen from the drive.) Great spotted woodpecker (Juvenile on the fat ball feeder.) Great black-backed gull (First of the year, perched in bungalow roof in the lane. Up to 43 species.) Jay (In flight across Wordsworth, heading for the central valley.) Twelve juvenile species so far this year: blackbird, blue tit, chaffinch, dunnock, goldfinch, great spotted woodpecker, great tit, greenfinch, house sparrow, magpie, starling, wood pigeon.
June 11: Starling (Four birds on the feeding station. The juveniles are beginning to look more like adults now.) Great spotted woodpecker (Juvenile spent some considerable time on the feeding station. It’s been a regular visitor of late.)
June 12: Blackbird (Male and four juveniles in the back garden for some considerable time this morning.)
June 14: Robin (First juvenile of the year, on its own feeding on the station.) Great spotted woodpecker (Juvenile on the fat ball feeder.) Thirteen juvenile species so far this year: blackbird, blue tit, chaffinch, dunnock, goldfinch, great spotted woodpecker, great tit, greenfinch, house sparrow, magpie, robin, starling, wood pigeon.
June 15: Great spotted woodpecker (Juvenile on the fat ball feeder.) Nuthatch (Bird on the suet pellet feeder.) Blackbird (Juvenile has been visiting the garden on its own for a few days.)
June 17: Stock dove (Single bird on the lawn.) Nuthatch (On the suet pellet feeders.)
June 18: Robin (Juvenile in the garden, no adults.) Ring-necked parakeet (Bird in flight across Wordsworth, seen from the drive.)
June 19: Stock dove (Single bird x2 on the lawn) Great spotted woodpecker (Juvenile on the suet pellets and fat ball feeder for some time x3 visits.)
June 20: Nuthatch (Bird on the feeding station). House sparrow (Female landed on the feeding station briefly before flying away.) Blackbird (Juvenile continues to spend its time in the garden, sometimes joined by another juvenile and a male.)

(Calling birds passing over in flight 1,7.) Peregrine falcon (In flight, west to east over the valley. Seen from the garden. First of the year, up to 44 species.) Swift (Several seen from the garden.) Mallard (Pair of birds late evening, flying into central woodland.)
