🎣 Angling | Fishing with prawns (and a worm) on the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal
It’s been another busy day and, as a consequence, the only available angling slot was an evening one. Therefore, at 6.30 p.m. I left home, and set off for the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal.
The days continue to be much longer than the nights, so late sessions are fine. Plus, you’re fishing at dusk anyway, which is a good time to be out and about.
In addition, the boats will be moored for the night, so you have quiet on that front, as far as water movement is concerned. With a good couple of hours in front of me, I was looking forward to the session.
There was a change from my usual bait plan, as I fished with prawn over maggots and loose prawns. In addition, as per the heading, I also used a worm for a few casts.
Come the end of the session, I caught perch and a chub. It’s the first chevin I’ve had from the canal for a while; in fact I can’t remember the last one. Home.
