🎣 Angling | Premium bonds, work and fishing a pond

I’m loving retirement – to put it mildly – but as I’m in a pre-pension season, I still need to do do some work. Not too much, so that it feels like structured employment, but enough to help with living expenses.

That’s why today’s angling session was an afternoon one, due to doing a couple of hours work in the morning. I’ll be continuing working for at least another month as well, with the latest premium bonds throwing up just £125.

I say ‘just’, as it’s still very welcome, but a jackpot would be nice. Of course. I don’t get carried away though. Que sera sera and all that. After doing my own garden – you can’t neglect that – and cleaning the car, I went fishing.

The session was on a pond. It was crystal clear as well, which told me that it was going to be a challenge. Still, I’m always up for that. Nothing big but I caught a few roach in the couple of hours that I was there.
