🎣 A couple of hours fishing on a cormorant-ravaged venue

It’s been a busy day, starting with work which took me to lunchtime, and then I led a church service in the afternoon. By the time I arrived home and changed, it had gone 4.00 p.m.

Still plenty of time to go fishing, although with my wife in Burslem for a couple of days, I don’t like to leave our dog home alone for too long.

In fact this last two days has been the longest he’s spent on his own and he’s actually been good. When he was a puppy, I never thought we would get to this stage, but we have.

After being out all day though and having to look after myself, I fancied just a short session of a couple of hours. I fish every day and a lot of my outings fit into that category anyway.

On a pool that’s seen serious cormorant issues, even though I caught just a few small roach, I was a happy camper. They’re still a nuisance though. Cormorants that is. Not small roach.
