Small venues, big fish
Everything is relative, of course, but small venues doesn’t necessarily mean tiny fish.
Late afternoon, I went to fish a woodland pond, the sort of place where even many anglers would give it a miss.
The initial reaction would be that, yes, there will be fish in there but they will just be stunted roach.
However, as you can see from the lead image, as well as in the video above, that was far from reality.
I go through the tackle used in the video, plus showing a selection of fish caught.
The pond in question is small and shallow, in fact the fish I caught were all from water that was just eighteen inches deep.
It just shows doesn’t it, never write off small bodies of water.
