I even had a hook pull from what felt like a decent perch.
Upon examining the hook, I realised that one of the maggots was hooked again, thus masking the efficiency of the point.
Talking of tackle, I fished with a Greys Prodigy 12’ float rod and a Shimano 3500M reel, spooled with 4lb Maxima Chameleon.
The float was a 0.8g waggler, with shot either side and a size 14 Drennan Super Specialist hook baited with two maggots.
Following the lost fish, I had another small roach and then more perch.
