Fishing and a change is as good as a rest, lucky escapes and not so, groundhog day — The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air 1994

Fishing and a change is as good as a rest, lucky escapes and not so, groundhog day

I’m thoroughly enjoying the tench sessions that I’m doing at present but I fancied a change and that’s exactly what I did.

I swapped the leger rod for a float approach and fished near lilies on a lake in six feet of water.

My rod was a 12-feet Greys Prodigy and the reel a 3500 Shimano, spooled with 4lb Maxima Chameleon.

The float was a small waggler with the shot either side, so that the one white maggot on a size 18 Drennan Super Specialist hook sank naturally through the water.
