Before church, tench fishing — Deer, seconds away from home — The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air 1994

Without doubt, I’ve had my tench head on for a number of weeks now.

There is a simple reason for that, as well.

I’m enjoying it.

Up nice and early I trod the well-worn path of making a flask of tea, loading the car and setting off for the lake.

Once there, it was again a familiar pattern, this time baiting the swim, casting out and settling back to drink the day’s first cup of tea.

I had the umbrella up, this time though to shield my eyes from the sun, while yesterday it was to keep the heavy showers at bay.

The British weather, eh.
