It was certainly the most challenging brook session I’ve done.
I covered a number of likely looking spots and, while sitting there in one of them, peering into the water I saw a brook lamprey.
They’re on the red status and to say I was thrilled is putting it mildly.
I’ve said it many times before but angling is the perfect platform from which to view the natural world.
I also came across muntjac tracks alongside the brook and they’re in the video.
