Fishing a pool for a few hours in the morning, I was there nice and early.
Casting just beyond the drop-off, I baited with brown crumb and maggots on arrival.
I prefer to do that first, as it gives time for the fish to move in while you get ready.
I ended the session with four tench, which are all in the video below, plus a solitary perch.
While fishing, I met Ian Clarke, who is a real blast from the past.
We were in the same primary school (Queen Victoria, Sedgley) way back in the sixties.
It was great to chat again after all these years and we’re going to get together again soon.
I left Queen Vic in 1962 😃
The year I was born!
I’ve got lovely memories from there.
