A morning angling session and the one that got away
We’re currently in a mild spell of weather and, although I’d be fishing anyway, it’s obviously preferable to start the day on the bank in pleasant conditions rather than torrential rain and strong winds.
There is no river fishing anyway until June 16, so I’m limited to non-flowing venues at the moment.
Not that it feels like a restriction though, in fact it’s not even an issue.
It’s all fishing and it’s all good.
While I made the flask at home, I watched a male great spotted woodpecker on the feeding station and a stock dove on the ground beneath it.
While lots of bird visits are expected at certain times of the day, these two in particular are like clockwork every morning.
