Tom Hanks plays Chuck Noland in the 2000 movie, Cast Away (bottom right image).
Working for FedEx, his plane crashes in the Pacific Ocean and he’s stranded on a remote island for four years.
His only ‘companion’ is Wilson, a ball.
Eventually, making his way out to sea on a raft, he’s rescued by a passing boat.
He finds that the love of his life has now married another man and he has to rebuild his own life.
It ends with him at a crossroads, wondering which way to go.
