Don Taylor stars as Robin Hood (top left image) in the 1954 Men Of Sherwood Forest.
It was filmed at Bray Studios in Berkshire (indoors) and Bodiam Castle, Sussex (outdoors).
There’s no Maid Marian but Eileen Moore plays Lady Alys, a similar role.
She was married to George Cole for several years.
It’s set in 1194 as Richard the Lionheart returns from the third crusade, as well as being taken captive in Europe.
As in the familiar Robin Hood story, the king’s life is saved by the outlaws, who are subsequently pardoned.
