An unexpected work-related call and the importance of getting your priorities right plus I still managed to cast a line anyway

I’d got the day sorted and after doing some work for The New Saints, I watched a movie (Back To The Future), did some pottering around in the garden and then was going fishing.

On the menu was a return to the tench venue where I was a few days ago.

The weather continues to be spring-like and the tincas will be on the munch sooner rather than later.

However, I didn’t get chance to put that to the test because, just as I was about to load the car, I had a telephone call.

‘Are you free to help us out this afternoon?’ was the request.

‘Of course, I’ll be there in ten minutes’, was my reply.
