I’ve been to Prestatyn lots of times as far as work is concerned but the visits have been, up to now, where I’ve driven to Bastion Gardens for football games and then straight out afterwards.
As we stayed just along the coast at Talacre, we decided to visit the town itself.
Parking at the sea front, we walked along Bastion Road, over the railway line and then to the top of the main arterial road.
It’s actually the route of Offa’s dyke, which made me think how many people walk this way and don’t realise the historical significance that is quite literally beneath their feet.
It’s a really nice town, with lots of independent shops and it’s busy but in a nice way.
