Dydd Gŵl Dewi hapus, family tree, welcome to spring and let’s go fishing

There was some writing in the front, from people in Wales as she said farewell, but as a child I wasn’t really interested.

I wish I could go back now though and see what they had written.

On my paternal side, the roots are from Radnorshire. When people ask me, are you north or south, I say neither. I’m mid.

George Manley was a miner and he met a girl called Sarah from Alberbury, which is right on the Montgomeryshire/Shropshire border.

Some of their children went back to Wales, others across Shropshire and the latter is where my family tree evolved.
