The northern lights, Saskatchewan memories, got a lot o’ livin’ to do, ten months of semi-retirement but still a box to tick, mentoring in Oswestry

Lots of memories came flooding back though from when I saw the northern lights for the first time.

That was many years ago, during my ‘travelling years’, when on that occasion I was in Canada and Saskatchewan to be precise.

It was dark, and I was driving across the prairie province to get to a church, where I was preaching that evening.

I suddenly became aware of vivid bright lights in the sky, so much so that I pulled over and got out the car to see what they were.

It was only then that it hit me, they were the northern lights. I stood there for some time, marvelling at the sky, before I got back in the car and continued my journey.
