It’s a happy ending, as the wedding finally goes ahead.
This was the first Disney film to spawn a sequel: Son Of Flubber (1963).
It was also one of the few Disney films from that era to be made in black and white, although it was colorised in 1986.
Most of the cast has long since passed on but Nancy Olsen is still alive at the age of 94.
