Set in 1828 Edinburgh, two Irishmen murder a number of locals and sell the bodies for medical experiments.
Mr. Hart (played by Tod Slaughter) and Mr. Moore (played by Henry Oscar) eventually get caught, with one being arrested and the other thrown to the mob.
Horror in 1948 was very different to what it is today and it is more comedic than scary.
It’s a black and white film and was made at Bushey Studios in Hertfordshire.
Many of the cast were born in the nineteenth century.
