The Italian Job, a 1969 movie with a cliffhanger climax

On his release from prison, Charlie Croker (Michael Caine) immediately gets involved in another criminal plot.

This time it’s to steal gold bullion in Italy.

He assembles his team – which includes Simon Peach (Benny Hill) – and off they go.

Mr. Bridger is played by Noël Coward and it was his final movie before retirement.

The gang gets the bullion and they escape the police but then the coach they’re in leaves the road and hangs precariously over the cliff.

That’s how it ends.

If you’re a fan of the mini in particular or old cars in general, then it’s worth watching just for that.
