It didn’t take long to work out why either, because as I threw loose maggots in the water I saw the unmistakable flash of a pike also looking for its breakfast.
Back home, we went for our St. Valentine’s Day out although I wouldn’t call it romantic as Dilwyn, our dog, played gooseberry with us.
We don’t live far from Shropshire and within minutes we were in one of the garden centres drinking coffee.
Then, after we bought a few plants we were on our way back gone again.
A simple life but a happy one. That’s the important thing.
