Nelson’s Pillar is mentioned in the film. It was still standing in Dublin at that time, before being blown up by Irish nationalists just eight years later in 1966.
It was in Sackville Street (Lionel Sackville, Duke of Dorset), later renamed O’Connell Street (nationalist leader).
