My first fish of 2022 was a gudgeon and my final one was a roach.
It was another short session this morning and that was dictated to by the fact that I have a working game in north Wales later today.
As I’ve done in recent outings, I visited a small pool.
Within minutes, I wasn’t going to be a blanker for the final session of the year because I had banked a small roach.
It was a very still day, which is perfect for watching a small orange tip just showing above the surface of the water.
