As long as your bait’s in the water you’ve always got a chance but that doesn’t mean to say you’ll definitely catch something

My own personal approach was to fish with two maggots under a small waggler float.

I had a couple of mute swans by me briefly but they then flew off.

At least, if they had stayed the presence of two bird birds on crystal-clear water would have been an excuse for blanking.

Still, there’s always tomorrow.
