I had a couple of plucks that I suspect were from small roach but nothing picked up the bait properly.
Carp were the target and, as it’s not a recognised venue as far as the species is concerned, it was encouraging to see something decent enough top at dusk.
The rain was relentless and heavy but the weather has never been a problem as far as my own personal fishing is concerned.
I’m glad I have a drive though because in my old house, I wasn’t even guaranteed parking in the street never mind outside.
However, it’s easy now, and as well as the gear unloaded, my clothes and boots are in a drying position ready for the next outing.
