Once a month at Tipton Family Church we have a football-related service where people are welcome to wear a shirt.
Today, I wore my Wolves 1908 FA Cup final replica top.
The message was based on the life of Rev. Kenneth Hunt, who combined a call to the ministry with a successful football career.
He played in the aforementioned final, against Newcastle United, who were strong favourites to lift the cup.
However, Wolves went on to win 3-1, with Hunt scoring the opening goal.
All four of the goal scorers that day had surnames that began with H.
He also played twice for England, in 1911. Imagine that today, a church minister representing England at senior level.
The book that I’m holding up in the lead image came via Graham Hughes.
Now there’s another legendary name, as far as Wolverhampton Wanderers is concerned.
