Time waits for no one, sang the Rolling Stones in 1974.
I’m sure though, that none of us need Mick Jagger to remind us that days very quickly become weeks, months and years.
Five weeks today – just thirty-five days if you want to break it down even further – I will be hitting sixty years of age.
As I wrote in last week’s blog entry, I’m not relishing the birthday in that sense, but at the same time I’m not afraid of getting older either.
In reality, it’s not the occasion that’s relevant but rather the door that it opens, as I aim to see the pie chart section of my life show more leisure and less work.
I haven’t got anything nailed down yet, in terms of ‘crossing a t’ and ‘dotting an i’, but I’m comfortable and relaxed about the future.
