This Morning’s Angling Session… The Importance Of Local Venues… My Fishing Tackle Order System…

It was another cold night and although I didn’t leave home until 9.30 a.m. this morning, I was still scraping ice off the car windshield.

Nothing big but I did catch a good number of roach.

They’re a good species to target in the winter and they’re usually very obliging as well.

I do mention a lot, in my blogs, the value of local waters and there’s more of that in the video.

Likewise, I also share the personal system that I have in terms of buying my fishing tackle.

The tackle used today was as follows:

Greys Prodigy 12’ rod and a Shimano 3500 reel loaded with Maxima Chameleon 4lb line.

The float was a 0.6g Drennan Crystal Waggler.

The hook was a Drennan Super Specialist size 14 with two white maggots.

I fished one rod length from the bank in 3/4 feet of water and fed sloppy brown crumb and loose maggots.
