Four Species Of Fish From The Staffs/Worcs Canal – Angling Tales From Norway And Romania

Most of my angling sessions since the lockdown was lifted last week have been on the Staffs/Worcs Canal, although I have fished several different stretches.

This time though I was back in the same peg for the third canal outing on the bounce, motivated by a couple of things. First of all, I had seen a water vole on both previous visits. Secondly, I had caught ruffe.

Although the former were absent on this occasion, the latter put in an appearance, along with bream, perch and roach.

The angling tales referred to in the heading are revealed in the video below. There’s an encounter with a group of Norwegian groundhoppers and an angling session on the River Prut, where for part of its course it forms the border between Romania and Moldova.

I’ve recently remodelled the home page of my website. There’s now a menu at the top, which makes navigation easier. Check it out.
